Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.
– Henry David Thoreau
Here we are, just one week from Alaris’ very first scheduled class – what a journey it has been. One thing I’ve been giving a lot of thought to is new chapters.
Especially around this time of year, we tend to sit back and think about what we may want to change about ourselves for the new year – how do we become a better version of us? Well, let me be the first to tell you that change doesn’t happen overnight. Alaris didn’t happen overnight. It started with a few conversations, some reflection, some sketching, some financial forecasting, and a lot of nights lying awake wondering if this was the right thing or if I was being crazy.
All in all, from first thought to first day of classes – a total of eight months will have passed.
I’m telling you this because I want to highlight that life altering changes take time – you need to be patient with yourself and enjoy the journey. Also, it’s never going to be easy. Alaris took a long time, a lot of bumps in the road, and a lot of hard work to get off the ground. But you know what? This is a life change I’m so satisfied with – because I never gave up, I kept believing in myself and my process, and truly trusted that I was doing the right thing – even when it got hard.
I’m excited to share your successes, lessons, and thoughts through this blog as we lift off together.
It’s time to take flight…
